Los Arados Taqueria & Cenadoria
If you ever find yourself cruising down S Western Ave in Oklahoma City and your cravings for authentic Mexican seafood hit hard, Los Arados Taqueria & Cenadoria is the place to pull over. Tucked at 5201 S Western Ave, this local gem serves up some seriously bold flavors that’ll make your taste buds dance.
What’s cool about this spot? It’s casual, it’s cozy, and it knows how to do ceviche right. Their Ceviche De Pescado Tostada is kind of legendary—light, zesty, and piled high on a crispy tostada that somehow never gets soggy. For those who like to go big, the Ceviche Bowl is a go-to: refreshing chunks of marinated fish tossed with lime, cilantro, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. And if you're feeling a little adventurous, don't sleep on the Octopus Ceviche. It’s tender, citrusy, and packed with that ocean-fresh flavor that’s hard to find inland.
The vibe at Los Arados Taqueria & Cenadoria is what makes it even better. It's got that neighborhood feel where you’re welcomed like a regular, even if it’s your first time in. You can sit down for a casual bite or grab your ceviche to go—either way, you’re walking out with a smile (and probably a plan to come back).
For anyone who appreciates real-deal flavors and seafood that actually tastes like it came from the coast, this spot delivers. Plus, it’s one of those places where you can’t really go wrong—whether you’re into tostadas, bowls, or octopus with a kick.

I have been wanting to try this place because every time we drive by it's packed no matter what time of day or night! So finally today is the day, we weren't too hungry but felt snacky, so we came to check out an appetizer. We each had a fish, octopus ceviche appetizer and it was good! They use orange juice as well as lime for their ceviche so that is a nice change up from others we've ordered in okc. They give you a cup of soup broth when you sit down and it made me want to come back for soup ASAP! On the table there is also a bucket and inside this bucket is the jackpot of hot sauces! 6+ different options! I have found heaven. However the beer selection could use some help, we were hoping for a Bohemia or something along that line of Mexican beer but they do offer modelo and corona along with other domestic choices. EDIT*** today was our second visit and we opted for ceviche bowl (octopus, fish and shrimp) to share and an order of the oysters topped with fish ceviche and avocado with a home made special hot sauce (HOT!!) everything was wonderful and the waitress was so helpful recommending some other menu items to try next visit.
As a native Californian living in the Midwest the struggle has been real. To say the lack of good Mexican food is an understatement. When I noticed Los Arados I knew I had to give it a shot, glad I did. I came on a Monday because I read they had good deals that day. I soon found out they do have deals just not the one I thought. That's ok, something new! I ordered a seafood plate and my bad got the burrito. As soon as you sit down they bring you chips, salsa, cheese sauce AND seafood broth. So. Gooooood. Like I chugged the broth. The chips and dip were good too however they serve them in those tiny cups :( when the food arrived I was excited!! The plate was massive and the seafood looked and tasty yummy. It also came with a plate of side and tortillas. It barely fit in the table!!! I tried some burritos and dang, it's good too!!! It may not be the fanciest place but this is the most legit taqueria I have found yet. It's priced great (check out the daily specials) and tastes amazing.
The service was good and I got three fish tacos and it tasted good. Plenty of people coming in the restaurant they love it. It's a busy place!
Loads of seafood choices doesn't begin to describe the menu at Los Arados. Don't look for barbacoa, carnitas or cohinita pibil. It's pretty much beef, chicken and pretty much everything else is seafood. The place is extremely clean, including the restrooms. The setup is great. The queso is mild and has a slight velveeta taste. It's not going to wow you, but neither will you be offe. I liked the salsa a lot. It's primarily onion and tomato with a mild, fresh flavor. What intrigued me the most was the styrofoam cup of soup. There are only a few little pieces of vegetable, and it looks like an all-broth vegetable soup. But when I tasted it, I detected something like a seafood brine. I loved it. It reminded me of crawfish. There were so few vegetables that after a couple spoonfuls, I drank the rest from the cup. I meant to order the ceviche de pescado tostada and the pescado (fish) taco, but I mistakenly ordered the camaron (shrimp) taco instead, along with an order of rice and beans. Each dish came out as it was prepared, with the ceviche tostada arriving first. It is piled with fish and sliced avocado topped with a slightly sweet, smoky sauce. The mistake I made was forgetting the ceviche had been cooked in lime. So when I squeezed out a half key lime it threw the taste out of balance. It was still good, but would have been better without my mistake. The shrimp taco had four fried shrimp. They tasted pretty good, though I think a bit of slaw might have knocked it out of the park. The mild pico was OK, particularly after I added a bit of their mild tartar sauce. The refried beans were excellent. I don't know that they were the best I've ever had, but they had such a fresh pinto bean taste. rice was nice and fluffy with bits of tomato and red bell pepper. So get out and try Los Arados. You won't leave unhappy.
Loves everything about them. Their service, the food and great for Saturday brunch and even better on a Sunday morning caldos
